Solid Memorisation

Tahsin

Tarbiyah

Memorising al Qur’an gives immense reward in Islam and a Huffaz is given high regards and respect within the Muslim community.

Huffaz also renders a very important service in leading prayers, particularly during the month of Ramadhan. However, with school and other obligations, the idea of memorizing al Qur’an often seems daunting.

Knowing this, IHS Kota Damansara is proud to seamlessly incorporate Tahfiz Program into the students‘ normal school schedule & syllabus so the students do not miss any of their core academic subjects, nor is there additional time allotted during the school day or afterward. Instead, the program is part of their normal school period.

Course Structure The Tahfiz course is structured to allow students to complete the memorization of al Qur’an without compromising progress and attainment in other areas of study.

Progression in Hifz is very much dependent on the individual’s ability. However, as a general, minimum expectation, all Tahfiz class students are encouraged to do their best within the school‘s academic year.

Grouping during the lessons is made into a small group of 10 students. Tahfiz lessons are capped at 2 hours a day, which include a translation session by Harfiyyah for thorough understanding of al Qur’an.

In order to be considered for the program, a child must exhibit characteristics of:

  1. High ability of memorization;
  2. Ability to read Arabic or is a fast learner;
  3. Willingness to memorize al Qur’an and has a love for al Qur’an and is not being forced to participate in the program;
  4. Passes all other academic subjects;
  5. Has a good behaviour record and good conduct and character;
  6. Has a good attendance record and does not come to school late.
