Cambridge IGCSE

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 13 to 16 year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide.

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including those whose first language is not English.

Our IGCSE curriculum is built around our specific needs. Starting from a foundation of core subjects, it is easy to add breadth and crosscurricular perspectives.

Encouraging learners to engage with a variety of subjects and make connections between them, is fundamental to our approach.

For learners, Cambridge IGCSE helps improve performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. It is the perfect springboard to advanced study.

Cambridge IGCSE is taken in over 100 countries worldwide and are widely recognised by higher education institutions and employers around the world as evidence of academic ability, equivalent to the IGCSE in the United Kingdom.

Pre-School

To offer a complete schooling system to parents, we collaborate with The Treehouse Islamic Play EduCare for pre-school program.

Primary

Our Primary school uses Cambridge Primary as the main curriculum, while also incorporating Islamic Studies, Harfiyyah and Tajweed, which are taught in English. IHSKD Primary teaches Arabic language as well. Additionally, Bahasa Melayu is taught up to the national standard.

Secondary

Key features of our academic structures for Secondary School include teaching the IGCSE syllabus starting in Secondary 1 for core subjects and introducing elective subjects in Secondary 2.

Based on their interests, strengths and teachers‘ recommendations, students choose their stream in Secondary 2, with options currently including pure science and computer science. It‘s worth noting that the IGCSE curriculum is designed for students aged 14-16, but there are no minimum or maximum age limits.

To ensure thorough understanding, teachers deliver content bit by bit, and in the students‘ final year (Secondary 5), the focus is on practicing past papers with guidance from teachers to review previously learned chapters.
